The Seanachai

The whole thing runs on contempt. This is the first ever video episode of the Seanachai.It is a scene from 86 Nickels, a screenplay I wrote a while ago. In all honesty, the script is pretty awful. First screenplays tend to be like that. But there were some funny parts. The best parts of the story have been reworked into the Death of Dishwasher series. (Its pathetic, but Ive been working on this story (in one form or another) since 99. I guess Im just stubborn (mule) and too stupid to know when to quit.

A few friends of mine and I got together and shot this in a restaurant after close. It came out quite good. So I thought I would share it. Its a slightly different take on Nickels I made him drunk all the time because its fun to do the voice. In earlier incarnations of the story he wasnt always drunk. Sometimes he was hung over.

The actors are Scott Helm, Jason Loftin and Matt Gosper. (Scott is the manager, Nickels, Jason is the waiter in-training and Matt plays the Dishwasher (rather brilliantly I thought.) All three of these guys are professional actors and I was lucky that they wanted to help.
